Modular cleanroom - inspection / packaging of medicines and supplements

 

 

 

This custom project underlines the very flexible character of Procleanroom and the modular cleanroom concept. Because of limitations, the end user inquired not to use legs in the cleanroom design. In order to maintain maximum accessibility into the softwall cleanroom, a fully suspended design without legs was chosen which also mounts alongside an existing wall. The ISO class 5 cleanroom (GMP class B qualified by the end user) has been positioned inside an existing conventional ISO7 (GMP class C) cleanroom in order to create a local micro climate for the inspection, packaging and sampling of certain medication and other pharamceutical products. The suspended design allows the user/operator to enter the modular cleanroom from all three sides without any restrictions or limitations. Because of budget restraints, the user wished to start with 2 off implemented ULPA fan filter units, which offer a laminar downflow over a 1.2 x 1.2 m center surface and achieve an ISO5 classification for the whole softwall cleanroom area. The design allows for easy expansion in the near future. At a certain point, the cleanroom will be expanded with 4 off 1210 x 600 mm ULPA's and 4 off 600 x 600 mm ULPA's in order to achieve a 100% downflow over the complete cleanroom ceiling surface. These future ULPA fan filter units can easily be implemented into the ceiling without any difficult modifications.
